- Microphone Data: Audio recordings of your voice and any background audio during your interview session.
- Camera Data: Video recordings of you and your surroundings from your device's camera during the session.
- Screen Recording Data: Recordings of your device's screen during portions of the study that require it.
Participation in any study that requires this data is completely voluntary.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 To Provide and Manage Our Services
- To Conduct and Record the AI Interview: The primary use of your microphone, camera, and/or screen recording data is to conduct the AI-moderated interview, generate transcripts, and (as stated in the study's consent form) provide the recording to the research client for analysis.
- Create and manage your account.
- Facilitate and process transactions.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- We do not use interview data (content you upload or generate in the Services) or personal data to train proprietary or third-party AI models.
- We may process de-identified, aggregate telemetry (e.g., feature usage and performance metrics) to improve and secure the Services. This telemetry does not include interview data.
2.2 To Improve Our Services
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance our platform.
- Develop new features and improve existing functionalities.
- Conduct research and analysis to better understand user needs.
2.3 To Communicate With You
- Send administrative information such as updates, security alerts, and support messages.

Your data is stored securely on AWS and Supabase servers, both of which comply with international security standards. These platforms provide robust security features, including:

- Access Controls: We implement role-based access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive information.
4.2 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
This includes study-related data such as audio, video, and screen recordings, which are retained for the duration necessary to fulfill the research objectives and then securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with our client agreements and your data rights.

If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers are located. If your app allows you to create an account, you have the right to request its deletion. When your account is deleted, all associated personal data and study data will be permanently deleted, subject to our data retention policy for legal or security reasons.
